Today is a sad day for all involved in the hair industry as iconic stylist Vidal Sassoon passed away of natural causes at the age of 84 in his Los Angeles home.  The London born stylist became well known in the 1960s, developing wearable, edgy styles including the “bob” and most famously the “pixie cut” as worn by Mia Farrow in the film Rosemary’s Baby.  Throughout his career Sassoon continually acted as a pioneer in the industry, proceeding to open numerous salons, developing his own product line, and educating many of today’s most talented stylists. Sassoon’s impact on the world of hair is legendary and he will be greatly missed.
